Plot

Eric Draven and his fiancé, Shelly Webster, enjoy the last hours of their engagement, but unknown to them, a thug gang stalks their house to finish off the couple for good. On the first anniversary of their murder, Eric gets raised from the dead by a black crow. Vowing revenge on the ones responsible for his and Shelly’s demise, he undertakes a transformation into a warrior of wrath. Themes and Analysis
First and foremost, it can be said that love is a great emotional force in “The Crow” for Eric and a great loss is the quest for Shelly’s vengeance. He is gifted with a deep bond that drives him to seek retribution after losing a loved one.
Also Eric seeks vengeance for the murder of himself and his beloved Shelly. Eric’s arc is that of vengeance but he is also trying to bring closure to it all.
